"I have specialist knowledge and expertise in the field of child brain injury claims, and can provide dedicated support, advice and guidance to children and their family throughout the process. I am passionate about child brain injury, and I have a genuine interest in safeguarding the welfare of my clients, and enhancing their quality of life. I have kept in touch with many families following the conclusion of their claims, and helped many more families through my work with the Child Brain Injury Trust (CBIT)."

About Kate's role

I am a Solicitor in our head injury team in Sheffield, working specifically within the Child Brain Injury Team, specialising in pursuing personal injury claims for children and adolescents suffering brain injury as a result of road traffic accidents, accidents in other places and non-accidental injury cases ("shaken baby cases").

Charity and community work

Secretary of Child Brain Injury Trust South Yorkshire (CBIT), a charity dedicated to raising the profile of child brain injury in the local region, and providing assistance and support to affected families.

Memberships and professional organisations

Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and CBIT.

Cases of mention

I have successfully handled a number of non-accidental child brain injury cases where we have made an application to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority for the maximum severity award (capped at £500,000). I specialise in stream-lining such claims to try and ensure the child receives the award as soon as possible to enhance their quality of life from an early age.

Spare time and hobbies

Trampolining, cooking (mainly sweet things...!), gardening, socialising, watching football.
