About Rita's role
After an incredibly rewarding career working for the NHS and specialising in the field of Critical Care Nursing I qualified as a Solicitor in 2006.
I joined the head injury team in Birmingham as a Solicitor in January 2009. I specialise in catastrophic injuries where the client has suffered a significant brain injury. I always try to utilise my past nursing experience with my legal knowledge and experience when dealing with clients and their families.
Charity and community work
I am an active member in the local church. I have been a parent governor in the local primary school for the last 12 years. Being relatively new to the team I've not as yet been involved in the charities that the team support, but I hope to do so soon.
Memberships and professional organisations
Member of the Birmingham Law Society. I am in the process of becoming a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
Spare time and hobbies
I have dared to do a bungee jump in Cyprus. I have helped to raise money for charity by abseiling and when I'm not doing all of this I like to spend time with my friends and family.
