About Joanne's role
I have specialised in brain injury cases for 12 years and have experience across a wide range of accident types such as road and work accidents, criminal injuries and civil assaults. I have significant experience in dealing with people who have received brain and psychological injuries who have managed to return to work and can live independently, as well as those who are more severely injured.
Community and charity work
I have been a long time supporter of Headway and was previously secretary of the York Headway group. I am a supporter of the NACC (National Association for Crohn's and Colitis sufferers) and have long term links with the Scouting movement.
Memberships and professional organisations
I am accredited by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) as a member of their Personal Injury Panel. I am accredited as a Litigator with the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) and have been a member of APIL for over 10 years. I was previously an accredited member of the Headway Solicitors panel.
Spare time and hobbies
I look after my 2 year old and go to music classes with her and I like to socialise with friends.
