About Helen's role
I work as a paralegal and represent adults and children who have suffered brain injuries. I am dedicated to securing the most effective care packages and rehabilitation programmes to give our clients the highest possible quality of life. Being able to have a positive impact on the lives of our seriously injured clients is extremely rewarding.
I was involved in securing a settlement of £4.5million for a child who sustained a serious brain injury as a result of a road accident. By obtaining early interim payments it was possible for his family to buy accommodation which was suitable for his needs and which allowed a care package to be put into place from an early stage. The settlement takes into account the difficulties which the he will face in the future and provides financial security for the rest of his life.
Working for the largest Personal Injury firm in the UK is a great privilege for me as it enables me to work alongside some of the best and most experienced lawyers in the country
Charity and community work
Whilst studying at university I was a volunteer advisor at Newcastle’s Citizens’ Advice Bureau. I now contribute regularly to charity events organised both locally and nationally by Irwin Mitchell.
Memberships and professional organisations
I have been called to the bar and I am a member of Lincoln’s Inn.
Spare time and hobbies
In my spare time I enjoy reading, going to see live music and spending time with friends and family. When the weather permits I enjoy spending time outdoors - both walking and camping.
