Donald and Barbara McGahey have recently transferred Donald's compensation claim to us, having been unhappy for a considerable period with the solicitors who were previously acting on Donald's behalf.
Donald McGahey had been with his friends watching a football match in Liverpool and was in the process of crossing a dual carriageway. There were 3 lanes on the side of the road on which Donald was crossing and he had almost completed crossing the third carriageway when he was hit by a vehicle travelling in the outside lane. As a result Donald suffered life threatening injuries, including a significant head injury, lung contusions, a dislocated right shoulder, injury to the right knee and a complete loss of sight in his right eye.
We are now taking every step possible to investigate the liability position fully, to assist the family in securing interim payments for day to day living expenses and ensuring that Donald has access to a full rehabilitation package which will assist him in maximising his recovery and reclaiming his independence as far as possible.
