A retired Powys man has recovered damages amounting to £650,000 following a road traffic accident.
He sustained serious head and spinal injuries in the accident, which was caused by a lorry driving into the back of his car whilst waiting at traffic lights. Tragically his wife was killed in the crash.
Stephen Nye, Partner in the Birmingham office handled the claim. Stephen commented, " this was a very sad case indeed. My client and his wife were newly retired and looking forward to enjoying retirement together. This event has left my client with significant mobility problems and he will require care and support in his home. In addition he has had to come to terms with his bereavement. This significant award will ensure my client has all the finance he needs to meet his care needs".
