Details: This practical 1 day workshop will begin by exploring the differences and interplay between emotions, behaviours and cognition. Participants will consider the factors which impact on behaviour following a brain injury and explore a variety of approaches for assessing and working with difficult behaviour within the community. There will be opportunity to discuss and try out some practical strategies to assist with changing behaviour. Facilitating the day will be Jayne Brake, Occupational Therapy Manager and Verna Morris, Occupational Therapist/Counsellor, J S Parker Limited. Jayne and Verna both have over 16 years experience in the field of brain injury and in addition to their extensive experience as therapists, have delivered various training events and presentations at conferences on topics related to this challenging area of work.
