What our clients say...

We found that the help and advice offered by Irwin Mitchell's client liaison service has been vitally important at a time when we all really needed support.  It has been accurate and professional but, above all, shown a genuine understanding and concern for our feelings during a very difficult time and has enabled us, as a family, to cope so much better than we could have done on our own.

Irwin Mitchell Welcome Innovation Award for The Children’s Trust

30/11/2011

November’s Acquired Brain Injury Forum (UKABIF) Awards saw The Children’s Trust win in the voluntary sector category with their Tadworth Brain Injury Coordinator role. The awards, which were held at the UK Acquired Brain Injury Forum’s annual conference on 10th November 2011, promote best practice in services for people with brain injuries.

Launched in January 2011, the Tadworth Brain Injury Coordinator role works in partnership with Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust and gives children with acquired brain injury access to specialist support to help them with their recovery and to successfully return to school. Already nearly 100 children have been referred to the service which is based at Sheffield Children’s Hospital.

Neil Whiteley, Partner and brain injury specialist with the firm's Sheffield brain injury team welcomes this award to The Children’s Trust, commenting, “Irwin Mitchell are delighted that The Children’s Trust have been recognised in these awards for their valuable work for children who have unfortunately suffered a brain injury. The service provided by The Trust is vital in reducing the number of children whose needs are not fully met after leaving hospital following a brain injury, and allows children to fulfil their potential and enjoy the best quality of life following an acquired brain injury. Congratulations to The Children’s Trust for this important award.”
